possible or not

Is it feasible to get 250hp at the wheels with the stock turbo, ports, emc, on pump gas??

1987RX7guy 01-02-04 10:34 PM

Yes

Could you be a little more specific as to what you would need to do to do this?

truespin88 01-02-04 10:46 PM

I'm no expert, but I know you'll need a good exhaust, an FCD, a good intake, and probably a boost controller. The other guys'll chime in with the specifics.

You asked a Yes or No question so I gave a Yes or No answer. :)

I would say that a Full exhaust, Cold air intake, FMIC, boost controller, wastegate porting, better than stock BOV, Boost controller, FCD, S-AFC or any other fuel computer, 720 secondaries, and maybe some other stuff. I would say for ~1500-3000 you could do that. :)

Santiago

PS- My price tag is kinda on the low side though.

i think these guys are forgetting to mention the fact that 250bhp will soon result in a fucked turbo. ie. maybe 1-5 dyno pulls if that.

fstrnyou 01-03-04 12:06 AM

y so? how will it hurt the turbo?

This statement Is almost entirely UNTRUE, The stock turbo is very capable of making 250 rwhp with the proper mods. You are right that the stock turbo will not last as long as It would on stock boost levels but It won't just suddently crap out on 5 dyno pulls I would expect about 5000 k+/- depending on certain unforseen cercomstances... But If I were you I would do a hyrbid setup if that is only as far as you are looking to go... Do a hybrid setup with the mods that 1987RX7guy had suggested you will be able to net about 280ish RWHP with stock turbine and upgraded compressor housing. Reliably.

at around 13psi you will begin to overrev the stock turbo. after that, its anyones guess how long it will last. it will ruin the seals and will start to blow oil pretty quick though. it would probally take ~15psi on the stocker to get 250hp at the wheels. thats why i say i doubt it would last long on a old stock turbo.
