Possible Great Deal on s5

I noticed this auction ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1821760172 ) on ebay. It seems as if the engine is just flooded. The owner however, does not know that, convincing him the engine is blown would allow you to talk the price down a lot. Good luck.

notice he sais doesnt turn over, he never said it cranks , so its not flooded its somethign else, possibly a dead starter or some electrical problem

My fish can run faster.

3000 bucks is a hell of a lot of money for a vert with carbon lock.
There is a VERY small possibility that a lot of carbon cleaner, and a thump from a reverse rotation starter (some dealerships have them for this reason) will free it up- but damage has probably already been done to the apex seals.

When mine locked, it deformed the apex seal grove to the point where I NEEDED 3mm seals put in- or get new rotors!

Baseline- it probably needs a new engine, if not now- then soon.

Just put a V8 in- the convertable is a terrible match for the rotary engine anyways- the weight and flex never lets it shine.
(If Anyone ever does that to a GTUs though... I will hunt them down...)
