Possible fuel problem

A couple days ago i was driving my car just fine, next day i went to go start it and it just wouldnt start. There's power and the engine is making somewhat of a noise but wont fire concluding me to thinking its the fuel pump or maybe my mixuture. Anyone know whats going on or had this happen to them?

Probably flooded. There's a de-flood procedure floating around here somewhere.

And by somewhere I mean in the Archives/FAQ and probably has 10-15 threads with procedure in the last month.

Search "deflood" "Un flood" "no start" "flooded" etc.

It couldnt still be flooded for 2 days though could it?

OOOOOh yeah :)

Edit; Especially if no un-flood was ever tried. If you just kept cranking and left it, then tried cranking it later it could indeed still be flooded.

I read the faq, searched, and searched the archive cant find nothing on how to de-flood your car.

To de-flood your rx,

1) Remove the EGI fuse from under your hood (I believe its labeled EGI IGN.) ,
2) crank the car a whole bunch to clear it out.
3) Put the fuse back and try to start it.

-Make sure you have enough power (try boosting the car)
-Make sure you have enough fuel - gas gauges can lie

If the car turns over once right away better than before but dosent start, repeat the de-flooding procedure and go again. This might take 3-4 tries of taking fuse out, crancking, replacing fuse and cranking. I've had to do this a couple times works like a charm.

Cheers
Zip

p.s. I have come home from a nice drive, parked the car and left it for 3 days. Gone back and shes too flooded to start. so yes its possible for 2 days

Thanks ziplock. I knew about the egi fuse procedure i just thought the de-flooding was a different process.
