Is posible, Use a Factory ECU and Micro Tech together

Hi friends,
I have a technical question, I want to install an ECU MicroTech in my Turbo II 87 but I do not want to lose the functions of cruisecontrol, Wiper, air Conditioned and other normal functions of the car. It is possible to install a Micro ECU Tech for the fuel injector system and ignited boost and engine functions and at the same time to use the original ECU for the air conditioned, Gauges, wipers and control of cruisecontrol and other functions?
Somebody that can help me?

Rx-7's are so old that the ECU doesn't control any of those things really. The only thing it does is cut off the A/C if engine rpm gets too high. I'm not sure if the microtech can take an A/C input, but other standalones can.

yes it can work a/c,hook the ac wire to the input and set it to bump idle up and will work..

i believe that rx7 have ECU, which control engine component only, and CPU which control everything else i.e. wiper, cruiser, etc. ECU on passenger side and CPU is on driverside.

you won't need to use both.

In the Driver's Kick panel, next to your fuse box. There is a computer which controls most of your car's functions.

next to it is a computer which controls your cruise control.

The Air Conditioning is controlled by the logicon in the dash, and you can continue to use your car's BAC valve, which controls idle, with most of the aftermarket computers.

the only thing worth noting, is that your windshield wipers, and temp gauge wires, are located in the engine harness. You can easily strip these wires from the old factory engine wiring harness (on the passenger side) and continue to use them.

AaronCake made a simply exquisite write up on how to apply the Megasquirt EMS. However the write up covers what you need to keep and what you can loose in the factory harness.
this is located as a sticky at the top of the megasquirt subforum.

hopefully this answered your questions.
