POS add coolant buzzer

Ok heres what I have done so far.. New radiator, new radiator caps, checked the coolant to see if the coolant is full. Also replaced the water hose to the motor, it was bad... Its does not have bad coolant seals in the motor, also bleed the air too. The coolant sensor at the top of the radiator is connected. WTF is wrong with this thing, is it the sensor? Anyone know if the sensor say from an 85 is the same?

Where is this POS buzzer located?

So you're saying the buzzer goes off all the time? Try disconnecting the sensor and manually grounding the wire...If you can effect the buzzer byu doing that (if I remember correctly, buzzer should buzz when disconnected, stop when grounded) then it's the sensor.

Don't know if the one from the '85 fits, thought it should (perhaps with a little effort).

Disconnecting it, it still goes BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ, havent tried grounding it yet.

Im assuming its the sensor that is bad, Ill just keep a watchful eye on the guage and ground the wire. Switch the sensor on Monday when I have time :)

When I switch the sensor, I would dearly love to smash the buzzer for gradification. where is it located?

Well just went out to remove the sensor, and the whole top 1/2 just broke off :( Man thats gonna be a bitch to get out, well anyways, I connected a wire to the top of the now broken sensor, and n0o more buzzer, but now Im leaking coolant at the top of the sensor :(

I swear i have never had so many problem with cooling and stuff as i have with this FC. I think im gonna stick with FB's :)

what a pain.. it IS a good idea to buzz, cause sudden loss of coolant is a baaad thing, and the average moron on the road won't pay attention to the temp gauge.

it might be the same sensor. for 4 out of 5 of the different ones are the same except for the connector. the only one that is different is the one for the coolant bleeder kit thing, where the sensor has a tube in it. (and you end up with like 9 radiator caps)
