porting engine
 

im getting my engine rebuilt this week and was asked if i wanted to get my engine ported. he gave me a deal for $350. now what i heard from my friends is that this is a good deal. the guy estimated that ill get around 250hp. i have a 88n/a. is what im hearing true?? good deal?? should i take this offer? how many hp will i gain from porting.

That's about right for a port job.
You should get around a 25% increase on a street port.
If your car is running 160 HP, that would bump it up to 200 HP.
