i frogot to mention but the thing is last time the same thing happened but after a few toggles of the switch the headlight popped up.. this time its remaining stuck. i hope it has something to do with the temperature.

Sometimes the black bar/shaft that pushes the headlight up comes off the balljoint and will not push it up. I had this happen a few times. Mine was missing the little while 'cap' that clips on to hold the black bar/shaft onto the headlight motor.

Just a thought.

You should hope it's not the motor gone bad... I had to pull that last night and it's a MAJOR BITCH. I think it might beat the tranny bolts! =(

Anyway, get under the front... straight down from the headlights there is a square alcove under the brake duct and you'll find a little rubber tab in there... pull on it, that's the cover to the manual operation... turn the little white knob to move the headlight manually... take out the fuse for the headlights before you do this so that thing doesn't spin and hurt your fingers or hit you in the face or something lol.

If it moves, the motor is probably working... maybe a relay is dying or something... or the switch.. other people are better at diagnosing than I am.
