poopy

so i wil be driving my s4 TII, then sometimes my car just goes into poop mode. it idles low and i will have the gas pedal half way down and it will just bog and sputter around 3-5 grand. it has no power. it usually does it for about 30 seconds, then its fine again. i changed my fuel filter, it still does it. if i am driving and it does it, as soon as i hit a bump, it will stop. its really embarrasing to be driving through an intersection, then have your car bog.

If bumps affect the way it runs, it seems most likely that you have faulty wiring or connections. The next time it acts up, let it idle, and start wiggling wires under the hood. Start with the wiring for the leading coil.

secondary injectors come on at 3800rpm, so if its below that rpm it probably isnt injectors, you never know though.

Also, it may be spark. losing spark happens

does it sound normal? because you can hear the difference between running fully on all 2 rotors and not.
I've experienced this on my GSL w/ old spark plugs which was instantly fixed with new plugs
And on a very tempermental and flood prone s4 GXL which had 100 mile old plugs on it, just flooded like a bitch a lot

I only had this happen when the car was cold though and after it just started up. Once you give it some rpms or it warmed up the problem usually went away.

Sounds like what Buttjim was saying, a loose wire. :-\

Hope some of this may help. Pull your sparkplugs and check the coloring and if they're wet/oily at all and let us know the results ;)

Good luck,
Ben Martin

might be a longshot but check the flapper door on the AFM, maybe it's got some shit in it...
