(polishing manifold)Can I grind this off?

Ok, I'm about to polish my upper manifold and I wanted to get rid of the "mazda 13b" and those little lines on the s-5 manifolds. So my question is, can I grind these off of the manifold without doing any harm?

And does anyone have a pic of a s-5 polished mainfold?

Sure.

Or is it a better idea to leave that stuff on and try to get in the nooks and crannys?

Seriously, I would send this out to a pro to get it done.&nbsp I've tried to polish my intake manifold myself, and it was NOT worth the hassle...

I don't own a FC but if it is anything like the FD manifold the inside is just round. It would be fine to grind those spots off. I've done several Fd manifolds.

I bolted on some block off plates I quickly fabbed over the gasket areas and shoved it into a polisher, then took it out and went at 'er with a wheel for an hour or so. Only works if you have access to an industrial size polisher though....
