plug wires
 

I was buyin some mew plugs today and i thought id just ask to see if they happened to have any decent plug wires. I asked for their highest price ones in stock and they showed me these accels($30)? I think they are the make your own length ones.

Anyone have or what to think of these?

junk. www.summitracing.com sells OEM NGK wires for $24 with free shipping. I dont think they have it listed on the site but call them and they can get it for you.

Highest price doesn't always mean best quality...just so that's clear.

I got my NGK wires from rotary perf., i don't remember how much i paid but you can look :)

If you were looking for aftermarket plug wires then why would you get oem ngks? Go with Nology hotwires. My friend has them on his n/a. I tested the ohms on mine(stock ngks) 5300. My friends had 640 ohms! And Thats without the capacitor creating an even bigger spark! They might be expensive but if you are looking for quality then they aint gonna be cheap.

Who said he wanted aftermarket plug wires? :confused: He asked for "decent spark plug wires" Unless you are reading something I dont see?

i bought msd ignition 8.5mm plugs wires with the NGK spark plugs......i saw a big diff after....i dont know the ohms unfortuantely...on my N/A 88'

chances are that if your n/a is mildly tuned, you wont notice much of a difference. But i got plug wires from RP too.

I've seen Nology spark plugs wires make LESS power on a dyno.
Ohms / resistance doesn't mean SQUAT in terms of spark plug wire "performance".
Please stop spreading misinformation!

I would say the 8.5 MM wires from Magnecor . The 10MM is a complete waste of money (Unless you got teh killa deal). The only difference between the two sizes is the jacket around the wire. The 10MM gives you better heat resistance to protect the wires.

Considering how the drivers side of the engine is rather cool...10MM is completly over kill. Now if our spark plugs were over an exhaust manifold...then maybe.

Yeah, but dang, those 10mils sure look intimidating in my engine bay!

I just installed new NGK's and was very pleased with the build quality. I got them from clubplug.com without shopping around (saw an ad on the PayPal site), but the price sounded decent (~$31CDN) and I was quite pleased with the service.

They really take power away? Wow that sucks.
