Plug wire resistance

I have a set of what I think are Racing Beat Ultra spark plug wires (8 mm, red silicon). I want to check whether they're still OK.

The factory manual states that the resistance of high-tension lead should be 16,000 Ohms/m. When I'm measuring the resistance, since the lead is shorter than 1 m, is there a linear relationship e.g. would I expect something like 12,000 Ohms/m?

If they're OK, is there anything else I should consider when 'servicing' the these ignition leads? At $100 USD the set, I wouldn't want to buy new ones yet. I'm quite impressed with the quality of how they are clamped onto ignition coils and plugs.

Does anyone know where you can buy the same set in Australia? I don't want to pay the fortune for shipping :-(

That would be linear.
