Okay so let me start off by saying that ive had my car for a little over a year. its an 88 GXL and i recently puchased the inserts. i installed them and i just have to say that they made a HUGE difference in the powerband.my top speed in fourth used to be 120 at redline and now its 125. it made such a difference that i'm compelled to write this essay of a thread right now.

This is what i had done so far before the inserts:
Custom Fabricated Header, Custom Fabricated 3"Straight Pipe back to an RSR muffler, Ported Throttle Body, Short Shifter, Mazdatrix 9lb aluminum Flywheel, Exidy Clutch, A/C Removed, ACV Blockoff Plate, EGR Blockoff Plate, SwayBars front and rear By Racing Beat, DTSS Eliminators Also By Racing Beat, Ceramic Pads Front And Rear, Flex*a*Lite Black Magic electric fan, Bride Steering Wheel, BRIDE Brix II Racing Seats, Quick Detach Hub, TANABE GF210 Lowering Springs, Tokiko Blues, Lightweight Aluminum Hood swap, 17" Pinnacle Wheels, Falken Ziex.

Here's the website for the inserts; Definately worth the money.:

got any video or audio of your car? I wanna hear how the RS*R muffler sounds, I used to have on my 240 and it was great.

You need ~13% more power to raise top speed from 120mph to 125mph under the same conditions. There's no way you got that just from those inserts. More likely the auxiliary ports weren't opening properly before, and removing the sleeves to install the inserts freed them up so they work properly.

You could also lose 5mph by driving into a headwind...

Yeah dude... I'm with NZConvertible... Its all in your head, or you fixed your actuators/sleeves when you installed them.

Most likely its all in your head... Sorry dude, I know that sucks.

Your top speed at the same rpm won't change. It's set by gearing, not hp. Additionally, +1 to NZ.

I'm extremely skeptical of the Pineapple inserts. Mostly because they refuse to back up their statements with any testing.

Btw, I have electric turbochargers for sale that add 50hp. I don't have any dyno graphs at the moment, but I swear they do!

My actuators and everything worked properly before. i know this for a fact. the inserts also added more bass sound to my exhaust. idunno ....in my head or not, they were still worth it to me.i can't wait to drive to work.
