Picture Request: Engine Temp Sensor / Oil Pressure Sensor

Does anyone have a picture of the stock engine temp sensor and the oil pressure sensor, preferably on an S5 (I don't know if there are differences) in their stock locations on the engine. Also, if someone has a picture of the harness connection that would be great. Sorry if this was covered somewhere, I looked in the repair manuals but couldn't find anything, maybe I was looking in the wrong sections.

Thanks man, that helps a lot. Do you have any pictures of what each connects to on the stock harness?

I'll have to look for the engine temp sensor one.

I had successfully located what I thought was the oil pressure one (just wanted to confirm) but the connection end of it had a circle instead of what looks like a flat metal tab in your picture. Is this an S5 vs S4 thing? Which one uses the circle-type connection? (I'm working with a previous hack job and S4 and S5 parts were mixed quite unsuccessfully.)

My S4 has a flat circular thingy that a connector slides onto.

Ok, sounds like I have the S4 oil pressure sensor but I definitely have the S5 harness, so that would be why I couldn't find the connection. I'll have to see if the sensor is present on the original S5 motor but I don't think it is.

The S4 has a tube with a single wire on the harness side and a nipple on the sensor. The S5 has a male spade lug with a single wire (orange with a white stripe I think) on the sensor and a female on the harness.

I seem to have the nipple type connection on both the S4, and the S5 motor... odd. I guess the PO just wasn't using the oil pressure gauge, since the harness is for an S5 and the car is an S5.

Anyway, does someone have a picture of the stock connections and everything? Basically I'm trying to find where these sensors connect to and its tricky with a mess of wiring.

This the best I can do.

That helps, but I guess what I'm really trying to get at is which harness is/are the sensor(s) connections on, aka the drivers side harness or the passenger side engine harness? I'm not sure if there is a difference or not, but if there is I'd like the S5 specific info. I am 99% sure on an S4 the engine temp is on the passenger side harness, but I'm not sure if it holds true for the S5, if that makes sense.

Also, if this is covered in an FSM somewhere just point me to it but I looked through them and didn't see anything.

Both the S4 and S5 temp sensors and their harness connections are on the drivers side right next to the oil filter. The harness comes out of the firewall on the passenger side, goes inbetween the alternator and the intake, loops around the solenoids towards the the firewall and the connection comes out right next to the oil filter.

At least on the S4, there's not much on the driver's side harness that doesn't directly have to do with powering things (battery, alt, starter, grounds, etc).

Ok gotcha, so the temp sensor is on the passenger side harness, is the oil pressure as well?

It appears to be on the passenger harness.
