Pics of my custom intake.

I have seen one that I liked better. It had the filter actually right infront of the TB for a streight shot of air. I didnt know how to connect it thou. I will try later. I love the extra room in the car. And it looks sweet. I also did a partial TB mod the same night and it was a pain. I felt a difference over my old filter setup and stock TB so it was worth it. The difference was in the 5.5-6.0k rpm range on up. Does anyone know how if I can plug up the two air hoses off the stock tube. I just pluged them together with that L shaped metal hose that origanally stuck in??????????? And what do I do with the TB plate vacume hose that goes to the Thermo wax... Can I plug that up too.????? I would of taken the thermo wax out but didnt know what to do with the two coolant hoses... Does anyone know where to put them... I read the TB mod but didnt help me.

File is too big... Please just reply and I will send everyone a pic...

Thier... I gave everyone the pic... If u still have your stock box on with stock paper element... THis mod will be like ... Baaammm... And it only cost 45 bucks.. Oh and dont forget to make the custom cold air box at the same time. Trust me.. lots of hot air in that area that u dont want to suck up... The power compared to the stock cone filter setup was slight increase at 5.5-6.0k rpms on up without the cold box. I dont even have headers yet so im expecting some big gains when I slap em on. Also dont forget to shave that groove on the elbow. I filed and sanded mine down.

Their ya go... Tell me when u recieve them and also tell me how I can make it better. I was thinking of getting rid of my intake charcoal canister and putting it thier for a streight shot of air.

rico05 02-10-02 04:24 PM

I like that idea, I am also thinking of doing that, but what to use for an intake arm? Hmmmm...

7Rebel 02-10-02 04:31 PM

I haven't received it yet .... I'll be able to post it too if you would like.

von 02-10-02 04:38 PM

I sent it to u... I will send another.

For the intake arm if doing the streight shot... Use the one thats already on the car. Cut off the angle so all u see is where that lip is. Put the hose just over that lip and walla. That lip is important to sealing it. So make sure its smooth. I think thier would be an extra horse or two by doing that over mine. Why your doing it ... Do a partial throtle body mod. Just take out thee plates and rod then plug the holes... U will need to drill out the screws on the plates thou.. Took me 10seconds each one. Just dont break the bit inside the srew.

rico05 02-10-02 04:41 PM

What about the vacuum lines?

von 02-10-02 04:41 PM

Tell me when u get it 87rx7. Should be now

rico05 02-10-02 04:42 PM

Um, no pic in my e-mail yet!

von 02-10-02 04:48 PM

As for the vac lines... Im still wondering... I just pluged them into eachother for now until I can figure it out.

rico05 02-10-02 04:50 PM

I was referring to the shortend intake arm. Where would those lines go? Just connect them together, but what about the one or the BAC? I guess I should just remove mine when I remove my a/c. Oh yeah, still no pic! rico05@tamu.edu
