I dont unerstand. what the heck is that manifold?? is that a NA engine??

No, that is a factory 12A Turbo, as fitted to the 82-86 Cosmo (I had an 84) and 84-85 RX-7 in Japan. The turbo is missing in the photo but it mounts identical to the 13BT. The orange thing is an aluminium casting that feeds the throttle body. Yes, it looks like a carb but it is in fact a 3-throttle TB just like the 13BT (it is made by Nikki though). No intercooler was fitted. These made 165hp standard, mine made about 215-220hp.

The owner of RES, Mark Julian, is IMO one of NZ's best rotary builders.
