Dude, I am digging your catch can:) |
I should rename the thread, how to rig your shit!

I take that as a yes....maybe I can get away with that for my front mount until I get some real pipes.

Do I see PVC?

Thats what I'm doing. Me and bcool have a hefty suspision that it doesn't hold pressure like it should, or more like I want it to. So we're gonna fix that sometime sooner or later. |
ABS, with the exception of being tacky, actually has a really high tolerance for volitile locations. It's chemically resistant, has a burst pressure of ~260psi, and when cemented together correctly is air and water-tight.
Who knows, maybe it isn't such a bad idea after all? |
ABS is a lot better choice than PVC at least. The only real downside is the requirement of putting fixed angle bends on it and using straight piping after the angle, where as metal piping can have S curves, U's, all kinds of funky shapes to conform to what you're working with.

What is that bolted to your firewall?
|
looks like a strange catchcan to me

Also, it has a y-split on the clear tubing. |
Probably has both nipples (the one that used to be for the PCV and the other) Y'd into it?
|
It's not a catchcan, it's a crankcase filter that goes back before the turbo.
|
Close enough! :)
|
does the exhaust flex pipe hold pressure well? that's not too bad of an idea. .lol who woulda thunk it
|
I'm really not sure, I boost to 10psi all day though :) I can only suggest it as a "band-aid"
|
haha heres mine

Same thing as the stock PCV system. Except I got rid of the vac rack so that wouldn't work out too well. It impoves driveability. And also puts the oil pan under vacuum so it is less prone to leaking.
