Performance, help

I own a 1990 Honda Civic (Laugh it up!) but I am wanting to buy a 2nd gen RX7 ... probably a 1987 or 88

What could I do to make this a good car and run below 14's with a couple bolt ons?

This is what I have been told

13B Engine (Turbo, from www.mazdarx7engines.com)
Intake
Exhaust

will hit below 14

When I buy the engine, I will have the porting and polishing done too... can you guys please help provide all the info I need to make it fast

Sorry for sounding dumb, but I know nothing about these cars

Ok here ya go:

Intake(just basic cone intake with a custom TID)
Exhaust(downpipe, midpipe(or high flow cat if needed), any catback you want)
Fuel(walbro pump, 720cc secondary injectors, Apex s-afc)
Gauges(boost, egt, and any others you'd like)

Now with these mods you might "overboost" so you could want to do a few things to prevent that:

port the wastegate
keep stock intake on
keep stock catback on
keep a cat on

I suggest porting the wastegate and seeing where you are with your boost. And if you still have too high of boost, get a high flow cat.

Honestly if you want to run under 14 with basic bolt ons and be cheaper, get a First Generation DSM Turbo or Turbo AWD..

welcome man atleast you want to get rid of the honda haha well hondas are ok but youll love a rotary if you get one a turboII is pretty easy to get into the 14s and if you are ready to do some mods an NA is easy to get into the 14s but you basically have all the mods done to it you can do. Its your choice YOU MIGHT want to put some research into it man prices are not cheap ass honda prices for parts mazda shit is expensive be it oem or performance

Welcome to the forum. Stats: http://www.petting-zoo.net/~gkm/rx7/specs.html

13s are easily obtainable. Check out this thread with a similar question. https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...25&pagenumber=1

All the pricing I've seen has the TII priced much cheaper than other similar performing cars.
