Parallel fuel system issue, would like input
2 Attachment(s)
So I'm all finished putting together my parallel fuel system and found that my return line Is roughly 3/4 of an inch from my throttle cable hook up on my throttle body. I have solid motor mounts and have very little flex in my regulator as it is bolted to my firewall. I believe I am ok and it will not be an issue I would just like other opinions.

that is where I have mine.
You are fine. |
Appreciate it
Mine is there as well, but I'm using stainless braided. No issues in 10 years
What did you guys use to bolt fpr to firewall?
I doubt cable interference would be an issue but many racing organizations wouldn't allow fuel components that close to the bellhousing.

Scatter shield or just don't go Freakin Nuts and build the setup UP so big that it will Toss the Flywheel through the Bellhousing! I mounted mine on the Lip of the firewall. |
Max 450whp so I think I'll be ok
What are you guys using for your feed line to the filter?
regulator
If you go drag racing they wont let you even with a scattershield with the regulator and lines on that place.0ther than that your fine.
Here is a pic off mine. |
filter

I have braided lines all the way 2 the tank with a aeromotive filter. If you have stock lines still you can by a adapter 2 go from the oem line to AN and use a aftermarket fuel filter.

Thanks for the input. I think for the break in period and for a good year after I'm just going to leave the boost down around 8psi on the bws360 and learn to drive. I have the stock ff and hard lines, I'll plan on running ss lines and moving the fpr when I go to sanctioned road race events
Looks like Aeromotive 12321 is the appropriate 10 micron filter. Mine as well do it right the first time, I'm going to order some more push loc hose and run it to the aeromotive filter. Thanks for help, better to pay now than pay later. I'm going to look into rerouting my fpr
That's what I used.
Has anyone tried to use their stock feed as the return after making a new feed? I thought this would be a good alternative since the stock return is quite small
gaijin- i thought they were the same size
im re-doing mine now, the stock lines are rusted I wouldnt re-use them anyhow unless yours are really clean |
I'm sure the feed was 5/16 but I believe the return is smaller, I will measure sat and see. My car is rust free but I am still going to clean the lines and inspect. I was lucky, my car sat in a garage for 10 years but better safe than sorry
Return is the same, vent line is smaller. I been back there enough to know they are the same size and confirmed sizes today with my guru
Ok, thanks man. Mine as well just run a new line and braze a fitting on there also. Are you retaining stock tank?
Yes its a convertible.
If i ever go really big power i would probably sump it with dual external pimps versus the single 044 i have in-tank now |
