Paint or powdercoat for the rims?
Heyo guys, I'm working with a 86 GXL (stock 5 blade rims). I'm getting ready to paint the car, and i've been trying to decide what to do with the rims... the car is going to be a gloss black, and i want the rims to match.. I know powdercoating gives things a flat finish, and i was wondering about using my automotive paint on the wheels... Will it hold up as well as powdercoating would? I'm using two-stage(paint and clearcoat separated) paint, and a good primer, wo the rims would get at minimum 3 coats of clear. I'd prefer paint, as it would match the finish of the car (obviously), but i need to know how well it'll hold up?
Thanks guys!
