overheating problem
ok so when i drive on the freeway my temperature goes up past half and then its weird cuz when i drive on the street my temperture is normal, it goes down... then i checked if there air on the radiator so i release the cap while its running there was no pressure at all.... it did not shot up... is that normal? and another weird thing is that i have a koyo radiator. so what should i do... ? i got no pressure and it overheats when i drive on the freeway..

Make sure all the ducting is there. The shroud underneath, the sides. Check your thermostat, and hoses.
Worst case scenario you have a blown water seal in your motor. I guess check compression for that. |
is it smoking? is the overflow bottle full? even with ducting... if theres no pressure in the system something is wrong.
i guess everything is fine... no smoke comes out, my overflow is fine.. i dont think its the water seal because im not loosing any coolant.. you think its my water pump? this only happened when i changed my radiator to koyo. when i had the stock one it was running fine...
how long ago did you change your radiator.... maybe you need to bleed the system better
i think its been a month already.. how am i gonna bleed it if theres no pressure we tried doing it last nite no air came out... its just weird cuz on the freeway it shoots up pretty high and then on street its normal... my car is weird lol
what rpms on the street? and what rpms on the freeway?
on the street maybe 2500 and then i shift to 3000 to 3500 and on the free way 3000 to 3500 straight...
and the radiator is full? when you pop the cap off its full to the brim? How long are you running before checking pressure?
the radiator is full.. i ran for a while and then when the temp shot up.. i pulled over and then took of the cap to see if theres any pressure and there was none...
people are telling me its the water pump.. does anyone have water pump for sale? i checked pep boys they dont sell it
