Overheating...... loss of coolant???

hey guys well for the past 3 days cars been over heating not majorly but a decent amount about half way.. 1st day i noticed it cause my add coolant buzzer came on, checked it out and was over heating (noticed i blew a heater hose) replaced the hose and was running great till yesterday. Im at a Wendys ordering and boom add coolant buzzer comes on again temps at about half way then car dies on me finish pushing it threw the drive threw park it on the side let it cool down.... when i try to check out the car theres nothing really leaking or anything but again missing coolant... any ideas guys motor is rebuild 9k miles ago.... let me add im running pure water no coolant but still dont think the water can evaporate so fast? i got the car running. but still coolant problem.
Thanks

who rebuilt the engine?

make sure you are bleeding the system properly and that there is no air in the system. if it still persists then i would do the "bubble test" found on the forums, you could possibly have a blown coolant seal. even one decent overheat can pop the seals, depending on who built the engine and how it is sealed.

but thing is im not letting out any white smoke at all no smoke period car just lets off bad fumes =/ i havent tried the bubble test ill do it once it cools down... ive driven that car very hard but this is the first time ive ever had a overheating problem..

there's probably an air pocket in your coolant system, happened to my friends supra, it kept the coolant from flowing through the system and would spit out of his over-flow through the hose, i'm 95% sure thats whats wrong....

Pure water = no coolant!!!! Put 50-50 mix in asap!!!!

check your cap also, it may not be holding pressure. my cap had the same problem after i first got my engine rebuilt.
