ordering mazdamotorsports eng mounts
 

Can anyone order me mazdamotorsports eng mounts?
I dont have a membership, although I sent my application in over a year ago. All I really need are the motormounts. I suprised mazdatrix has them for 2x the cost.
Hope someone can help!

Mazdaformance (advertised at the top of this section) has them, so you don't need a membership.

scalliwag builds custom metal mounts. ask him where the thread is with pictures and a description. also, they're cheaper than regular stock mounts and should handle a lot more torque.

I've never been in a FC with solid metal mounts, but I have been in other cars that have had them, and the ride is more than rough, you can feel every engine vibration throughout the entire car. I would think this would be a little overkill for a street car. Correct me if I am wrong though.

Go to the website. They have just completed all of the outstanding applications. You may have a membership and not know it. If not, you can always re-apply. Geez, it's free, and it saves you hundreds or thousands of dollars if you work on your car a lot.

I havent gone autoXing for a while. I dont drag. Only driftsession. I guess I will have to goto the track and do some 1/4 runs. Hmmm the solid mounts sound better. The car is a dedicated driftcar. Its super rugged. Oh its for a 20b. I wouldnt think all that torque would hurt the sub frame. What are you running aviator. Im only planning on the 20b making 450 at the ground tops when Im done.

Hehehe, I'm not running anything until the car is finished. Long story short, I have the project on hold until I find out where my new job is sending me, as I may need to modify or sell the car depending on where that is. Anyway, I have the standard 40% stiffer mounts. I have no idea what would work well in a drift car, but the 40% mounts should work well on my road race car. I think anything is better than those crummy stock 20B-REW liquid-filled FD-type mounts.

well, if anyone has questions about the metal mounts, PM scalliwag with any questions. just tell him casio sent you. and last i heard, the mounts are cheaper than new (crummy) stock ones.

As a side note. It is against MAZDACOMP rules to order parts for other than your own car that you registered/race.

yeah I know. Rules were meant to be broken right? Actually I think Im gonna get some solid mounts. No point it making the mounts a weak point in the driveline.
