opinion on 10AE rebuild

Well my turbo sucked in the HKS foam filter about 3 months ago and popped the motor. Ive been getting ready for a rebuild and decided that i wanted to go a diffrent route than what was already in there wich was an S4 tII motor with a large street port and stock turbo. It put down 230 HP and 209 TQ in 3rd gear at 9psi on the dyno. The motor was already in the car when i bought it . So far i purchased a set of iorns with a small secondary bridge, im switching to S5 rotors, Atkins master rebuild kit, large ported housings,550 primary and 850 secondary inj, ACT 11 lb fly wheel, and a hybrid S5 turbo. Ive talked to a few mechs here in the area and the tell me im going to loose alot of torque with this set up, Dont go high comp rotors with boost because theres not alot of room for error as far as tunning, boost and bridge will crack the bridge i havent heard one positive thing from these mechs. Is there any one out here that has done something similar and has had any success or experience with a set up like this? I dont want to spend money thats not going to last that long. The car is not a daily driver but when i do drive it i like to push it a little.most likely im going to use the RTEK 1.7 and SAFCII that i have know for a while until i have a chance to get a standalone. If you have any numbers on a set up like this let me know too

boost is always better with lower compression on any type of car
(rotary or piston)

and to add another thing whos building and tuning your engine? is it you or one of the mechanics you talked to? if it is one of the mechanics i say do whatever he tells you because most likely he will be familiar with it and have some knowledge on the set up.
