omp oil burning question

i have a 1990 turbo rx7.

new engine has 1300km on it an burning oil. started happenin after awhile, at first it was all good. old engine was doing the same thing, ripped apart and no seals were broken, i still replaced all seals for the rebuild. my power fc reads 1.09 volts constantly for the omp and never changes. could my oil injector be stuck open? could it be the omp it self? how would i go about troubleshooting? i have a 110psi opr and replaced the thermoax valve with a solid one.

thanks

How much burning oil are you getting? Are you sure it's not above normal?

it was doing the same with the stock ecu. i just see blue smoke constantly. i have a oil leak on the turbo oil drain line.. im just going by me seeing the blue smoke out of the exhaust and if the omp oil injectors staying stuck open can cause it.. i have no emissions on my car, and i forgot to add i have a 20b fuel pump. this time im so fuckin determined to get this problem fixed after rippin apart a engine to find out everythings good.. i'll do w/e it takes to fix it.. i really need some help from the forum members...

Thanks

you can test the oil injectors by blowing through them you should only be able to do it one way if you can blow and suck then there bad i forget wich way it is though

My mechanical OMP was sticking (The rod that goes to the throttle) and I was using a shitload of oil. If yours is electric I'm not sure what to tell ya though.

blue smoke... u sure its OMP or oil injectors? you sure it isn't leaking from somewhere else? like bad seal around the rotors and coming out through there into the combustion chamber?
how much extra oil are you using?

Here's what you do.
Pull the oil lines and injectors out. Bolt the holes closed, but leave the OMP connected (bolt its holes closed as well). But some premix into the tank and fire up the engine.

Do you see blue smoke?

ok, since i have a ap engineering power fc, i unplugged the omp and i am running pre mix right now. still blue smoke.. the engine and seals are brand new. I have a turbonetics t04 turbo but i dont have a restrictor in between the block and the turbo oil feed line, and i also have a racing beat 110psi opr. could the turbo be seeing too much oil pressure even at 800rpm idle? could the oil be pushing past the turbo oil seal?

Thanks

may not be draining fast enough from the turbo causing smoke

So the current setup is:
OMP umpluged & running pre-mix, 110PSI oil pressure, powerFC runs everything.

That leaves the OMP at it's last setting (idle?) before being unplugged.

Time to remove the OMP & block the mount?

It might be the turbo. Take the turbo inlet duct off. There should be NO oil in the turbo inlet duct and NO oil in the turbo outlet duct to the intercooler.

i took off the intercooler pipe and the air filter, no oil anywhere. the last omp setting was set at 1.09 volts. i guess i'll take off the exhaust manifold and hope theres no oil on the engine exhaust ports, i'll also check the downpipe, and will try removing the omp.

Thanks for the help guys... and hopefully its not the f$$$in engine... theres only 1500km on it with new seals and upgraded bearings. cearmic coated end housings.

alright ppl i have a update.. i took off one bolt off the downpipe on the exhaust side and as soon as i did that, oil started dripping out of the downpipe. my exhaust ports are dry on the engine; when the turbo was off i tilted the compressor side down and oil was drippin outta it.. any other tests i can do right now to make sure its not the engine? the guy who did my engine made backyard feed and return line for the turbo which caused the seals to blow out on the turbo, thats my theory, so im going to replace the oil feed and return with s/s lines and get a t04b wiht 60-1 wheel etc...
