Omg, wtf. Flooded Engine, need input

Alright, so I just tried to start my car and the engine was flooded. I tried turning it a few times, but no go. So then I tried waiting a few hours, still nothing. And then finally, I said, screw this, I'm going to pull the EGI injector fuse. And we get the car started, and it starts blowing out all the white smoke that was still in the chambers. THEN, my retarded friend popped the clutch while it was still in gear. He "didn't see it was in first." I almost killed him. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knows and other tricks get a flooded car to start.. Any input would be helpful.

well, if you got it started the first time, you must be doing something right...get rid of the retarded friend j/k...do a search- there must be 100 writeups on this...

Well it doesn't sound like its too badly flooded if you got it started once..

I've never had my car flood so bad that a simple foot to the floor and crank it for a while wouldn't fix.

And i've had my car alot more flooded than yours by the sound of it, so you shouldn't just try that. (if you havn't already)

yeah, sometimes i dont let it rest long enough after a hard run, and when i come back like 30 mins later it wont turn over.

Pedal to the floor, hold the key, and then keep the revs up for like 30 seconds.

The idle sucks right after, but drive it for about 15 mins and it cleans up.

Thats just what happens w/ my car ^^

If you really really have trouble starting it, push it down a hill and let off the clutch. Mine was so badly flooded that it took a day of normal unflooding and then 2 runs pushing starting it down a hill (steep hill, pop clutch @ about 30 mph:)) before I was able to get it started.

I read about the foot to the pedal trick on the manual.

So you floor the pedal, than crank the car? Wouldn't that cause the car to redline as soon as you crank it?
