OMG I can't believe how much this costs!
 

Okay not only does this seem WAY overpriced for a friggin bent bar but I'm not sure how much this would even help our cars anyway... Wouldn't this be pretty easy to make?

Oh and I am NOT dissing on Corksport.. they just happen to be the only place that I have seen that sells this thing..

The description says "Mounts behind seats along the floor." So I guess it's supposed to make you car more rigid by connecting the left and right side by the bottom of the doors... that's why I don't know how much it would actualy work..

Would probably help for the convertables.

If they weren't so spendy, I think someone would try one. I doubt it will make a noticeable different mounted behind where its intended to go. A RX-7 weight distribution is 50/50 anyway, and since it won't improve performance that can be measured on a dyno, I don't think it is worth $372. I can see the need for a strut bar or engine torque brace, but not this.

it's certainly cheaper to purchase roll cage at this price.

and you all do know that overly modifying your chassis to be stiffer takes away from the predetermined crumple zones of the car.

even in small accidents, the amount of force sent through the car is greatly amplified.

with that aside, this bar prevents twisting of the chassis in turns.

do-luck sells similar bars for the 240sx and they do give a noticeable difference.

however, if it were me and I were to start putting bars inside the car, I'd have started with a roll cage and ended it there.

Weight distribution and chassis flex are completely unrelated. Anything that reduces chassix flex will help handling no matter how good the weight distribution is. There are many aspects of performance that can't be measured on a dyno that are just as important. Dyno results are often quite misleading anyway.

That bar is way overpriced though...

$372 will get you a lot of Eurethane foam you can put into your side sills...

Dont drivers who are more into drifting, use that bar, i ahve seen a few in some pics of drifter 7's and they have that thing in there, along wiht the bars that run don the side, in place of the foam.

or you could take the stock jack and weld it in for $0.50

I know Do-luck makes a bar identical to that.

The idea is just to tie the chassis together.. it's like another strut bar more in the mid of the vehicle.
