old hks bov fitment

1 Attachment(s)
i have an old school fmic that came with this bov. it's kind of old so i want to replace it. problem is i don't know what bov will fit the flange that's already welded on. my apexi twin chamber bov doesn't fit and i don't know how many different bov sizes there are. if anyone has any experience or knowlege about this bov i need your help.

does anyone know if the greddy type s bov can directly replace the hks one pictured above?

why not just have a new flange put on instead?

MrSparkle 01-19-05 02:28 AM

if the greddy bov fits then i won't have to. if not, i guess that's my only option.

does anyone know if the apexi bov fits a type s flange?

There is no guarantee different brands of BOV's will work on other flanges.
Just to be sure, use only the same manufacturer flanges.
Flanges are typically $10 - $30 each.
Stop being cheap and just buy the correct flange.

i'm not being cheap. the flange on the pipe looks like it could fit a type s bov. hks didn't know the answer so i thought someone on here might. i know what to do if it doesn't fit.

on some of the hks the flange is the same as the type s

now that's good news

I know the SSBV uses a "circlip" for mounting.
I know for sure this does not fit the GReddy BOV's.

it's a really old hks bov that's on a type s looking flange. after taking some measurements and comparing them to someone else's greddy type s it appears that it will fit perfectly.
