ok ok ok, got an fc but here's the deal...

got it for 100 bucks! it runs good just needs paint and a couple interior fixes. DOESNT HAVE A TITLE... but i might be able to fix this. the person died so he couldnt sign it over to the guy that has it now. he didnt know what to do so he just kept that car and then let it sit. hahahahaha, i know it's wierd but he said i could talk to the wife and maybe get her to find it and sign it over? either way. heres the deal.. should I...

- gut it and make it a track car only

- deal with the title crap and get it on the road

- part it out

i would hate to see this car get wasted. i would like to use it as a good daily driver so i dont have to kill gas with my turbo FB. what do you guys think???

There is a way to recover a title like that, but it would be much easier to talk to his wife (If she's still alive), and get it signed over. If you have to do it through the DMV, From what i gather it will be ~200 for all the paper work.. don't qoute me on it, though, i've never done it.

The DMV has forms you fill out for a case like that...its no big deal and shouldn't take you long.

Scrap yards around here won't take the hulk of a car without the title... I ran across a sweet deal a few months ago and let it lay because there was no title. I thought about buying it and parting it out, but when i asked the scrapyard about taking the frame, they said they wouldn't touch it without the title because of chop-shops, recieveing stolen merchandise, all that lega mumbo jumbo.... something to think about.

In your case, if the wife is alive, you can get the title, thus ending your hedaches. Do it!!
