i got an 88 turbo, 160k miles, gonna send it to kevin to get it rebuilt.
its and s4 and i want these lighter rotors and hardened stat gears in it when rebuilt:

will they go in hunky doory? i know i need to use the counter wheights, and i was thinking of upgrading flywheel at this time also, so i use an s5 flywheel, and then is the s5 flywheel work with the s4 tranny, uh the pain of choices...

they should fit perfectly fine, i dont see why they wouldnt....

there S5 rotors, then again what i hear a rotor is a rotor, some people are putting renesis rotors in S4's and S5's....

for a flywheel get an FD one, there a little lighter, thats what i got....

If you are going to use the S5 TII rotors you just got to make sure the whole rotating assembly is S5. Front counter weight, both rotors, and rear weight (S5 AT counterweight if you are going lightweight flywheel or stock S5 flywheel if you are not). No need to worry, ask Kevin he will let you know what you need to run those parts. Just as a side note the S5 TII rotors do have higher compression than your S4 ones. You might want to make sure you take precautions for fuel.

You need the matching flywheel for the back, which must be 89-91 turbo or 93-95 FD, either will work with this setup (the FD is 2lb lighter than the FC fw).

That said, it's hard for me to justify spending a bunch of money on this "upgrade" unless your current rotors are trashed or somehow inadequate. Your car won't be any faster because of this, it will feel a bit different (less low end, better top end).

if you go S5 rotors you need all S5 balancing, so you need to use the front wieght and flywheel.

yes 160k miles and rear rotor making no compression, they are pretty trashed i would assume, u will have to tell me when you pull it apart kevin ;).

If you've consumed an apex seal, it's a good bet that the rear rotor is useful as a conversation piece only.
