rxspeed7 11-02-10 08:35 PM

remove the four screws out of the plastic covers
remove covers
remove 4 screws from around the metal ring on the headlight
remove headlight and unclip harness

So you only know HALF of how to change a bulb.

Because taking the old one out is half the job.

The other half is putting a new in.

Finally someone who understands!

I'd like to thank this thread for brightening my morning hahaha

sharingan 19 11-03-10 07:55 AM

It will never come out unless you lube it with headlight fluid!

jerd_hambone 11-03-10 08:43 AM

You might get lucky and headlight fluid might just fix that bulb.

toplessFC3Sman 11-03-10 08:48 AM

How many 7club-ers...?

pfsantos 11-03-10 08:49 AM

LOL, even if it has a conversion kit (bosch makes one to go from sealed beam to replaceable bulb), the steps still involve taking the assembly out to get to the back of it.

THansenite 11-03-10 09:24 AM

I vote that this thread is moved to the technical archives.

PvillKnight7 11-03-10 09:25 AM

how many 7clubers does it take to change a bulb?

tuscanidream 11-03-10 09:56 AM

I read the post title to my girlfriend and she laughed. :0

Off topic but pop-ups are cool. :p

Haha i see what you did there

oh and if you are wondering I did change the headlight bulb

farberio 11-03-10 10:25 AM

Did you do the blinker fluid at the same time? Its a pain to take the headlights out JUST to add more blinker fluid....

jerd_hambone 11-03-10 11:52 AM

^ No joke. It adds another 3 or 4 hours and 10 more 7club members to do that.

oh man! i knew i did it wrong!

TrboSpdAnt 11-03-10 01:43 PM

Yeah, AND that crap costs about 30 bucks for a TEENY-ass bottle; something like 5 oz.... PLUS you've got 4 blinkers...

Damn that's a PITA.

'Least now you know that you've got to do the fluid, too....

It has to be FULLY drained before you remove the bulb, too - otherwise you've got to have your blinker rebuilt! (I was changing my headlights, forgot to fully drain the fluid and it blew my rear-diff.)
