oil regulator

I assume in someones post when they say "Needs reg" or something they are talking about the oil pressure regulator, right? Anyway how much does one of these cost to buy and install and can u drive the car without out it--Not on a day to day basis but just enough to get the car to a shop driving at freeway speeds for about 2 hours. Thanks

No, kungfuroy is right - they are talking about "registration" or taxes on the vehicle.

No, if you try and drive the car with no oil regulator, you will kill the engine in very short time.
Basically, you are trying to run the engine with very little oil pressure. :(
