oil pressure question

so i did an oil change on the ols 88 RX-7 and fucked up because i put the MMO in the oil after i did the change not before so ran the damn thing for a while and noitced that the oil pressure was reading high at first start up and as it warmed up the oil drops down to normal. isnt it supose to be the opposit? isnt start up supose to be low then rise up right before or after 30 psi? what could the problem be? i changed my sil yet again and i changed my oil cooler line and that is when the whole fiasco started. so here is a quick breakdown.....changed oil line, replaced oil with MMO in the motor oil, oil pressure reading high at start up then backs down when running temp, changed oil again with CASTROL 20-50 and it still happens

the pressure is higher at start up and then dies down after warming up.

Why woud you contaminate your oil with MMO?

If you feel you need to remove sludge and deposits and clean your internal seals then the best oil additive you can use is auto-rx. www.auto-rx.com I used this product several times in older piston engines and it cut down on oil leaks, cut down on oil consumption and gave me a slight increase across the board in my compression. I was a non-believer until I tried it.

Personally, rx-7s get their oil changes so frequently there is no point for any additive unless you do a lot of short city driving and don't allow car to fully warm up to temp.

Take care,
Andy

Dude, don't put MMO in your oil.

Search- this topic comes up every two weeks or so...

You're basically pouring mineral spirits in there...With additives for your olfactory senses :)
