Oil pressure issue, what's the diagnosis guys?

Took the T2 to the mechanic today for a safety inspection and to have the tires changed. While idling, the oil pressure started to drop, and set off the alarm. Rev the engine, and oil pressure goes back up. Let it idle, it drops again, sets off the alarm. Rev the engine, pressure goes back up.

What do you all think?

low oil...did you check the oil level on the dipstick?

There is not an alarm for low oil pressure, only for low oil level.

Sweet, that's what I was hoping.

And no, I'm a dipshit and didn't bother to check the oil, I've only driven the car 5 miles since it's come home. He's changing the oil for me tomorrow. Thanks Mark, I thought it was the "Rebuild Alarm" going off.

The oil is changed, and I still have the buzzer. I also apparently have an antifreeze leak dripping onto my turbo. Is it possible the buzzer isn't oil, it's antifreeze related? And, what can I do about the antifreeze problem?

I'd guess the coolant leak is allowing the coolant sensor not to ground itself on top of your rad ... You can rev and the water level will rise abit turning the buzzer off until you idle long enough for it to drop down ... find that leak and filler up :icon_tup:
