Oil pedestal questions.

Hi all.
This seems to be the cheapest oil pedestal I could find. $45.

But my question is, would one or maybe both of those holes combined somehow be enough oil feed/cool my turbo? I know they are made for sensors, so I'm not sure they will flow enough.

(I'm doing my s4 NA-turbo project and I need a pressured oil line to go to the turbo)

Also ... this is for an rx7 right? haha It doens't specify.

Oh woops! I guess racing beat might have a better one.

I'm pretty sure that 3/8 inch should be enough if its good enough for oil temp. I guess I will go with that one.

Thanks. :D

Where did you find the Racing Beat unit? I can't seem to locate it.

Yes it will work. This is the easiest way to supply pressure induced oil for the turbo NA application. Under rebuild you can drill tap the brass plug in the factory TII location found on the front iron.

3/8 is also enough you just need a -4 line.

I like the racing beat one allot, I have also used Dave's oil pedastool from SMP. I however prefer the remote duel filter applications when doing custom work like a NA turbo.

Either hole will be fine for an oil feed. Use the appropriate adapter to bring it down to -4 AN and then run your line to the turbo.

Edit...See http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/naturbo13.htm for more ideas.

I say again, where did you find the Racing Beat unit? I looked on their site....it's not there.

Go to the FC section. On the drop down menu go to the "oil system" section. It is towards the bottom, called a "TYPE II Oil Press & Temp Adapter."

I didn't look in the 2nd gen section because I don't think the 2nd gen unit will work on a 3rd gen.

Wtf are you doing in the 2nd gen section then?

dblboinger 08-21-07 08:42 AM

Is this section exclusively for 2nd gen owners? Didn't thinks so. Did a search on this subject and this came back. Figured if they made one for a 2nd gen, the probably had one for a 3rd gen too, Guess that was a bad assumption.
