oil in my tb?

I'm sure there's an obvious answer to this but i'm fairly new to working on my own cars and i just pulled apart the tb and uim and some oil dripped out, is this supposed to happen, i also noticed that there was oil on the intake valves i suppose you could call them on the tb. one more ? since i have it apart how do i do the "tb mod" i've done some search and it all seemed somewhat vague. i'm sure it's in there but i dont really want to spend 2 hours searching for something i can find out in 5 mins. thanks for the help guys

Yeh, it is kinda normal.

I had the same problem. It is an oil ventalation hose spraying a small amount of excess oil into the intake.

Some people get "Catch Cans" to grab the oil instead.

is there anyway to just diconnect it, unless it really serves a purpose that i don't know

It is so that non filtered air does not get into your oiling system, and so that your car doesnt just randomly dump small amounts of oil on the ground.

Some people just rout it into a soda bottle.

I suppose i'll just do that, thanks tofuball
