Oil in intake tract
 

Why in the heck would I now start getting oil in my intake track, as evidenced by oil coming from my blow-off valve and getting on everything. The crankcase is slightly over filled by about 1/4". The turbo was rebuilt with the engine, it was sent to a turbo shop. It does not smoke,no noticeable blowby when removing the oil cap while the engine is running. The engine runs as good as it ever did in the 1800 miles that I have put on it since the rebuild. I've been driving it easy up until recently. Now I'm running 10 psi and shifting below 6,000 rpms.:scratch:

Could be the turbo or blow by...what weight oil do you use?

Take off the turbo inlet duct and see if there is oil all the way up there, if it is then it's likely the front seal on the turbo is leaking.

That's what I was thinking, but the seal is new, and I didn't put it in, so it shouldn't be messed up. We'll check it though, I'm suppose to drop my car off on friday for other stuff, so, we'll look at that too.

10w30. The engine has all new bearings and FD oil pump and regulator.

May want to try installing a catch can on the crankcase vent as well.

I called the engine builder and he suggests that now that I have the FD oil pump and pressure regulator, and my turbo is "Old School HKS", that now I need a retrictor in the oil line to keep from blowing the oil seal...Sounds correct, but we will check it out>

it might want a restrictor. you may also want to look at how the PCV is routed, and how the metering oil jets vacuum is routed. i assume since we're in CA its just stock, which should be fine. if you route it wrong though it can cause smoking/oil consumption
