do a search of premix

Its a well covered subject and is very good for rotary if the OMP (oil metering pump) does not work or is failing somehow.

basically the engine has oil injected into the rotor housing during the normal operations... and if you premix (add oil to your gas) then you will just be helping in the lubrication process.

Check the FAQ and search for info, it doesn't hurt to ask the questions thats why we are all here, but some people get easily frustrated with new 7 owners when they don't check the FAQ sticky at the top of the 2nd gen forum and if you don't try to search for answers first.

BTW welcome to the club

You probably don't know anything about that OMP, and I assume you have it on.
Some people here put MMO in their fuel Tank.
I wouldnt put oil in my fuel tank.

MMO has been proved over and over, not to be worth anything when used in an engine and is most definatly not to be used as a 2 stroke oil replacement. You may wish to do a search on that as it has been covered many times before.

There is no reason to use oil or premix (or two stroke oil) in a stock engine that everything is functioning normally.

Adding pre-mix or two stroke oil, to the gas tank is commonly done to provide extra lubricant for modified motors and is even sometimes recommended on Turbo models like the FD.

But for a stock FC non turbo or basicly stock FC turbo model, it is not needed as the factory already injects oil into the engine based upon load and throttle placement.

Alternately, you can eliminate the stock oil injection system & run pure premix (100:1 ratio, a bit more than 1oz/gal when filling up). This has benefits in keeping the inside of the engine significantly cleaner, and lubricating things better - Mazda's race engines all ran pure premix.

Not sure if it's been made clear but if you do decide to premix and put oil in your gas tank. You use two stoke oil. Same stuff people use in two stoke motorcycles, boats etc. I think I read somewhere to use one that's TC-W3 rated.
