Is this the stock unit that you're using?
After my oil lines blew I got a little paranoid that it might have been the t-stat. So I removed it, tapped and plugged the bypass hole so that the oil had constant flow through the cooler at all times.

Haven't had any problems yet either. Just double checking.

If i use the fan as a puller and put it behind the oil cooler i think the factory radiator fan will mess up the electric fan. Anyone tried it before? if yes what where the results? I will use the fan to cool the oil while idling after a hard run too.

I do not have any oil temp problems now but i do not know if i will have any in the future with my front mount IC so i am thinking of doing this just in case..
I thought about doing this as well, just for airflow while idling in between runs. I too just got a front mount.
You could try moving the a/c condensor fan down to the oil cooler if you have it. its an electric fan that goes on automatically based on engine temps.

Does this have any negative effects besides a prolonged warm-up?
If you drive your car during winter conditions then the cold oil will increase engine wear. If you only drive in warm weather then I don't think it will make any difference. Most people who install aftermarket oil coolers on their street car will use an aftermarket thermostat.

I think the stock fan already pulls air through the oil cooler.
