There have been several posts that make it clear the most qualified place to get the oil cooler cleaned the way it should be is at an aviation service center. Take a few minutes after a local yellow pages search and call around. They will explain the process and cost. It is not a simple flush and cleaning. It is not a radiator. You do not need a Jiffy Lube job.

I used this place. Quick turnaround and they repair the fins plus it is not very expensive. Total including the $15 shipping charge was $91. You send it to them in through the mail/UPS. Leave the t-stat in. http://www.oilcoolers.com/default.htm Most cars did not come with oil coolers so most shops are not equipped to service them. |
