Oh crap, just found out I got a big crack in my rear!

Ok, don't laugh. What I mean is that one of my diff mounts is broken, the one that's closest to the drift shaft. Apparently the mounting part to the bracket is cracked as well, so some welding needs to be done as well. My mechanic says it involves a lot of work to get it fixed, he gotta take off both drive axles, remove the whole diff and subframe and then get at it. Has anyone had to do this before and if so, does it really involve that much work? I guess all that 6000rpm launching I did about 50 times in the Summer really took its toll on my car!:D

Ok, first off, dropping the entire rear subframe is the easy way to get to it... it takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour to drop it, and the same to reinstall it. The differential mount is easy to get to once the subframe (with the diff, mounts, etc all attached) is dropped down. You really need 2 people and 3 jacks to do it easily though.
