Offset question
I am trying to see if a set of rims will fit my car am i doing the calculations right?
Im just worrying about the rears right now I currently have a set of turbo rims so 7 inch wide with a +40 offset these are 11.5 inch wide with a -13 offset so will these stick out 109.25mm from the current rims i have. and will go in 3.25 mm also alot of ppl strectch there tires the only benefit this will give me is that the tire wont bulge out anymore right? |
also what cars have lower offsets and rather wide rims?
I know mustang cobra wheels are +24 9 inch wide...any other makes that need to carry a similar of wider and lower offset wheel? |

I can easily say it's going to be at least 2" or 50mm.
I think it's actually more... Just to run the numbers... 8" wide, +50 is an FD rim - this has easily 2" of spacer from fender lip. You're running 3.5" more width and just about 2.5" difference in backspacing. 3.5" / 2 + 2.5" = more than 4"! I think I can safely say it's going to be close to 3" at least. -Ted |
