OEM oil cooler hose

Dumb Question, but I ordered the Mazda OEM oil hose (long one) and when they shipped it they folded the hose in half to get it to fit in the box. Should I be concerned? The hose is covered with a fabric so I cant visually see the rubber hose. I can squeeze it (where it was folded) with my fingers with little resistance.

shouldnt be a problem. the inside of the hose is a very durable rubber and a bend will soften over time with some warm engine oil. as long as you can work most of the bend out and its not permanantly kinked you should be ok.

Thanks. Over reacted when I pulled it out of the box I guess.

Nice 1st generation. I'm eyeing one that is forsale

What did a new stock hose cost?

thanks! i have a clean GSL-SE that i'm selling. its in the for sale section as we speak. did you get your oil cooler hose put back on the oil cooler?

Can't remember the price but it was very pricey. It was more expensive than buying the stainless steel set that Racing Beat and Mazdatrix sells. I prefer OEM stuff though-lasted 16 years and i know it'll fit.
