OBD-1 Codes, high idle, parasitic draw, and a mystery ground

3 Attachment(s)
S5 90 Vert 5-spd

None of these problems occurred until the vehicle had been sitting for a w h i l e.

Airbag light flashing 10 times
Security bell dinging 5 times

Idle at 1500 rpm: I think it just needs to be adjusted though... Engine runs great but it will not drop the idle and it seems like the "warm-up" period when you first start the car isn't working either.

Pulling approximately 250 mA parasitic. Pulled every fuse except the main 100A fuse today, in both fuse blocks, and none of them dropped the load. Plan to go back Monday and check the Main fuse and if that doesn't cut it I'm going to pull ALL the fuses and reinsert them until the draw comes back.

This mystery ground on the top of the bell housing.

Any ideas?

That wire goes to the firewall, attached by a eyelet that has a spade on it so the wire can connect to it.
If you can't find that small piece then You could always just cut that connector and attach an eyelet connector to it and use a small 10mm bolt to that empty hole on the firewall.
CODES:RX7 FD and Series 5 Error Codes

3k idle occurs only when the engine is cold but the coolant temp is warm enough as there is a sensor to tell the engine when it's okay to start the car w/the high rev function.

Disconnect the alternator and then test for the amperage draw.

1500 rpm idle is probably the Fast Idle Cam mechanism isn't working or the throttle plates are stuck open from a dirty throttlebody or sticking throttle cable.

And taken from the FAQ section:

I keep hearing a beep beep beep
Probably the power steering computer telling you there is a problem with the system. The number of beeps before pausing will indicate the problem.
1-beep, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of speed sensor signal:
In case broken wires or short circuits occur to sensors or harnesses, the buzzer sounds 60-seconds after the engine speed signal of 2200 rpm continues for 18-seconds.
2-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of engine speed signal:
The buzzer sounds twice and repeats when the vehicle speed signal is missing input and/or no engine speed signal is found (short circuit, broken wire, etc.)
3-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of stepping motor signal:
The buzzer sounds when there are broken wires or short circuits in coils or harnesses.
4-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of the power steering microcomputer:
The buzzer sounds 4 and repeats when there are circuit troubles other than with the micro computer.
5-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of steering sensor signal: Steering sensor is mis-aligned or failed or steering wheel has been improperly installed.

Thanks! What so you're saying that I neex to unbolt it from the bell housing or that it goes from the bell housing TO the firewall? What does it ground?
