Not a typical passenger window
My passenger window will not go up or down by the passenger switch, however it does work with the driver side switch. Less voltage is being sent through the passenger side than the drivers. Any ideas how to fix this?

Either the passengers window switch lock out is enabled
Or You have a bad passenger's power window switch. If it is the switch, more than likely the 12V+ input is either disconnected or has bad internal contacts. |
take them apart and clean them thouroughly. i scraped the contacts with an exacto knife.

neither of those are the case, contacts are clean, and I wasn't thick headed enough to leave the window lock on, any other ideas?
|
OK, pull the door panel on the right side.
What is the voltage at the switch? If you have a normal reading (12.6v) engage the switch while reading the voltage. What happens? |
i have same problem

I guess I am sorry I wasn't more clear, when suggesting that there was
more than likely the 12V+ input is either disconnected or has bad internal contacts. and if so is there ground resting on the motor wires??? (there should be if the drivers switch still works the motor... but you still need to test). If yes on both the above questions, then does the motor leads go hot when you activate the passengers switch either direction? If yes, and the motor still doesn't move, then there is a bad contact in the switch. If no, there is a bad switch (as described above when asking about 12V+) or you didn't do one of the above tests. |
