Noob Status Pt 2: Crank No Start

lmao alright guys, i'm trying to bounce ideas from one rotor head to another.

motors in and cranks FAST. but no start.

heres some specs:

Fuel Pump is on a Manual Switch and works (VERY LOUD, only 2 gal gas added ATM adding more tonight after work)

All Rats Solenoids deleted and plugs are still there just unconnected

VDI Wired Open (motor is from a Sand Rail, so no A/P or Actuators)

6PT Wired Open (see Above comment)

Motor started and ran before in his rail. so i didn't touch the CAS, F/INJ, Fuel Rails.

Give me ideas on what to look for when i head back tonight. Thanks guys you guys are awesome!!

Add more gas for starters. Do you have a fuel cutoff switch as in is this is what you're trying to say or is it something entirely different? You can spray 1 to 2 seconds of starter fluid into the intake duct and w/the fuel pump disconnected/inoperable try to start the car. If it starts then you know the spark aspect is okay. And if it briefly starts do this two different times then return things back to normal and attempt to start the car in a normal fashion.

Fuel pump is on a dedicated circuit. Separate from stock. I'm gonna add more fuel tonight. I'm thinking my 255lph is draining the baffled section 2 quick and then cavitating.

Alright, update. Added more fuel, no change. But noticed a wire not normally on the harness. Single red wire. I put it to ground (thinking maybe he only had red wire lol) no change. Put it to power and instant start up. No clue what the wire is for, lol but its getting a permanent power source lol

where was this single red wire on the harness?

probably to feed power to the ECU since the engine came out of a sandrail and had no fuse block or chassis wiring.

easy way of determing if you have spark control from the ECU is the tachometer will bounce when cranking, if it isn't then the engine probably won't ever start.

it was sparking before I powered the wire. I checked that much when I was doing a quick diag.

then it may be a power wire for the injectors.
