non-underdrive dual pully?

I'm ditching the air pump and acv today and need to order a dual alt. pully, the only prob. is I have a e-fan and a BIG stereo system. Does anyone make a non-underdrive one? Or will the 13% not make a big difference?

You could move the alternator to the a/c position and forget about needing a second belt. That's what I did, but it was necessitated by a very unique mod.

Just a thought, not very pracitcal, I know...

get a 3rd gen alternator if your worried about your stuff overpowering the alt. youd still need the dual sheave pulley tho

does a 3rd gen alternator fit directly int an 86 gxl? i can't keep the volts up at 13 for the life of me. i have gone through 5 alternators in 4 summers of driving.

It bolts on, and takes two wires to solder to get it to work. The pulley must also be bored out to fit onto the larger FD alternator shaft.

You DEFINITELY do not want a underdrive pulley, as I'm sure you're aware.
As well, the second belt is really more to prevent slippage of the water pump pulley than the alternator.
