No highbeams?? Searched, this is a different one lol

OK- Car is an '87.

If I pull the flash lever stalk with the lights off or just in the running light position, they'll flash, but the blue indicator WON'T come on.

If I have the lights up and pull the stalk to turn the high beams on, nothing. No blue light, no high beams. I'm just stuck pulling nothing.

As I drove around tonight, I tested it throughout the night, & it worked sometimes, but not others. I'm almost positive it's bad wiring/not fully connected pig tail, just hoping someone had some insight for me.

Thanks!

Go to the Dimmer Relay in front of the radiator. Has two R/G wires, R/B, R/W and a White wire. W/the lights on, jumper a ground wire to the plug where the White wire is. High beams should illuminate. Do this repeatedly and see if the brights come on each time the jumper is in place. If it works each time then the relay is good.

At the Dimmer Switch plug is a Red/Yellow wire. If the R/Y wire had a ground placed to it w/the low beams on then the high beams should light up just like the test used at the Dimmer Relay.

If both tests work repititiously then this narrows down the problem to a poor ground to the switch or the switch lever apparatus is faulty or the R/Y wire at the switch is making poor contact w/the switch.
