No Fuel, But pump is good...
Pulled the standalone out of the car (car was running) put a stock T2 harness computer and AFM in the car. Now the car is getting no fuel to the rail. I checked the fuses and all are good. I just wonder if when I had to cut a couple wires to pull the standalone harness out, is there any relays in the engine bay that work the fuel pump? I tried jumpering the yellow connector in the bay but the pump did not run... Any help will be appreciated
Two wires that I cut were a small black wire with a red stripe (pass side of the engine bay) on the harness that runs form the drivers side.... The wire goes in the same section of the harness that goes to a large white plug with only 3 wires. all three are white with a blue stripe, a red strip and maybe a green stripe.. The other wire I cut was a green wire coming directly out of the fuse box in the engine bay, did not appear to connect to anything OEM... Thanks guys.. |
Here's the fuel pump wiring diagram. Check it and make sure the circuit is complete.

I will trace it down but do you know where the relays are supposed to be so I can see if they are even there?

The Circuit Opening Relay is under the dash beside the steering column (FSM page F2-2, item 16). The Fuel Pump Relay is behind the right headlight lounted on a metal bracket with a large resistor (FSM page F2-3, item 16). Also shown here:

Ok I can hear the relay under the dash clicking when I jumper the yellow connector...

Thanks NZ, I have been looking at the FSM, but it's hard due to the fact that my wiring is a little hacked up... Can someone take a picture of the actual relay and connector for me? Does anyone know if s5 and s4 relays are interchangeable?
This is for the relay in the front of the engine bay please.. |
Found a picture of the relay/resistor pack... Yeah my car doesn't have one... I am unsure of how this this ran without it before, must have had something to do with the standalone... Regardless, I have bought one off Banzaitoyota and hopefully this will solve the no fuel issue..

theres a junker at franklin auto salvage that has most of the relays and wiring intact if you need anything.

Is it a S5?
|
err... 88 base.
|
Damnit, none of the sensors cross reference.... Eh... oh well, good looking out though.
