Nitrous is on the way... HELP!!!!
 

Hey, I ordered a NOS kit yesterday in a blind rage, trying to quench my thirst for more power. I've practiced a lot of drifting in the short time I've owned my SHADOW FC, but now people are talking smack about my baby's power. I love her, of course, but this is the tradeoff I'm willing to make. Before, I didn't care, but it would be really nice to have power readily available (cheap) . I read scathart's awesome post that broke down what nitrous was all about in regards to our rotary engines, and read some more posts after doing some research, but I am left with a few questions that I really need help.

My N/A engine is pretty much bone stock. The nitrous kit is coming in a few days and I'm getting it installed ( I can't afford not to now). The NOS kit I bought was the only one available for the 2nd gen rx7 off of JC Whitney. I chose the NOS brand because the shop that is installing it is most used to that particular brand.

Scathart said that the issue regarding the N/A fuel pump must be addressed. I understand what he's saying, but I can't find the parts. The easiest and least costly way to upgrade the fuel pump so I dont run to rich/lean is to wire in a turboII fuel pump resistor pack ALONG with a FUEL PUMP upgrade... am I correct?

The common fuel pump upgrade I'm finding is the Walboro pump. There are also a lot of complaints regarding this pump. What pump do you recommend? What is an estimation for the cost of installing the new fuel pump? What fuel pump upgrade do I need?

Also, where can I find a turboII fuel pump resistor pack ? How difficult and how much is it to install?

Were you going with the Wet or the Dry kit? Part number?

Go with the Walboro. It works fine for most users.

Get a FP guage, and watch if your fuel pressure increases. If it does, buy a FPR. They are not too expensive.

wait, so should i install the pump anyway? or should i just go ahead and install the nos without any fuel pump / fuel resistor upgrades?

The TII fuel pump resisitor pack, I'm assuming it allows more voltage to flow, thus more fuel on the TII. Will a walbro 255lph high flow fuel pump, with the n/a resistor still flow enough for a TII engine or does that resistor pack need to be changed?

I think the walbro may provide too much fuel for NA's. If you get a TII pump along with a wet kit you should be in the clear as long as you select the appropriate fuel jets.

if you dont have a wet kit, your going to be meat.

I know his orginal question was about nitrous and fuel on a n/a..but do you think that a Walbro in a n/a, with a TII engine will have trouble using the n/a resistor?
