Next step..?
i have the mods listed in my sig and a FMIC awaiting to be put in.. im going to do a battery relocation soon also. i cant decide what i need next though, i know i need more fuel, but should i buy bigger secondaries.. should i buy an safc, a better fuel pump? i guess what im getting at is, before i raise boost what would be adequate fuel mods? without spending an arm and a leg.
this may have been discussed before but recently reading posts about FCD's it makes me wonder if adding fuel will solve raising boost .. or is it an ignition problem? just sort of confused about where to go next and would like alot of opinions. |
Fuel pump. Then fuel controller. Pick one that someone nearby is familiar tuning with. 3" turbo back is pretty big for the stock turbo which I assume you are running. It will get tired quicker just to warn you. Was it rebuilt with the motor 30k miles ago? I don't think you need bigger injectors at this stage.

Fuel pump. I think you should have done the fuel pump along with your boost controller.

I bought my walbro fuel pump on ebay new for 98 bucks shipped. best 100 bucks you can spend on a rotary

can you think of anything i should be aware of when putting the FMIC in.. will this cause me to lean out more? cause someone has told me it will.. but i dunno how much i believe that.. Ted id be at ease to hear something from you about it :)

how many PSI of boost can the stock injectors run with?
|
FMIC will typically lower boost levels. I would say 10psi would be a safe boost level with the FMIC. The FMIC will lower ambient air temps, and the cooler charge will make for a denser intake charge. Denser intake charge requires more fuel.
